| Radiant Impressions - Custom Breast Prosthesis Radiant Impressions is an unique outside prosthesis, attempt to simulate missing breast tissue as closely as possible. The shape of it is captured from a cast of remaining breast supported in a bra. The back of the prosthesis is obtained from a cast of bare chest area, which provides an intimate, comfortable fit against chest wall ( "sits" on the chest wall)> This prosthesis is hand carved and sculptured to match remaining breast in size, shape, and color including aerola and nipple. It will "sit" on your chest wall or be attached to it. It will give the freedom to wear regular bra, regular swim suite, if you choose so. Each Radiant Impressions Custom Made Breast Prosthesis is constructed from the highest quality of prosthetic silicone. The inside of the prosthesis is made of unique silicone matrix, making Radiant Impressions cooler in use and lighter in weight, than any other prosthetic on the market. This prosthesis, often called Non-surgical Breast Reconstruction, is superior to any other available, not only in its design and technology, but also perhaps in its greatest quality: IT RESTORES A SENSE OF WHOLENESS Radiant Impressions was designed for: - breast cancer survivors with radical, modified radical, partial mastectomy, or lumpectomy - reconstructed breast cancer survivors, whether they need a partial prosthesis for evenly natural look, or nipple/areola replacement - breast cancer survivors with lymphedema - breast cancer survivors with osteoporosis - any woman needing to achieve symmetry due to genetic reason If you decide, that Radiant Impressions Custom Made Breast Prosthesis could be a solution for you, call our office for preliminary consultation. Double Mastectomy RI Right Side RI Radiant Impression Custom Prosthesis During our first meeting we will determine if you are a candidate for this type breast prosthesis ( not everyone qualifies) including medical regime, physical condition, insurance coverage, and if necessary, co-payments options. At this meeting you'll be expected to make decision to start the process by signing permission to contact your insurance. When we have an answer from your insurance, and you decide you want this breast fore (you may say "NO" and we send the payment back to your insurance), the next appointment will be made. We will ask you to sign a permission to start a design of your RI. After that point there is not turning back. We will review with you what to expect on the day of casting, what to wear, and what to bring with you. You'll be asked to shop for two (2) regular bras, the same style and size. On the appointment day: 1. We'll choose the colors for your prosthesis, areola, and nipples, matching your remaining breast as close as possible 2. You'll be properly fitted in bra (yours or ours, whichever fit better) and ready-to-wear breast form(s) 3. The cast/plaster will be applied over a properly fitted bra and breast form(s) 4. The cast, bra, and prosthesis will be removed and left to dry 5. Second cast/ plaster will be applied to your bare chest wall 6. The second cast will be removed and left to dry After minimum 48 hours, both casts will be shipped to Radiant Impressions production Studio. The new RI prosthesis will be delivered within 4 - 6 weeks. Then the last appointment will be schedule. We will fit you in your new Radiant Impressions Custom Breast Prosthesis. If it fits right, we will explain how to care for it: clean, storage, adhere, and remove in every day use. With it Care Kit and 2 years Warranty Card it will be ready to be taken with you in special storage/traveling case. RI ready for every day wearing Custom enhancer and partial prosthesis After surgical breast reconstruction you may experience life changes ( weight gain or loss, natural aging process, etc) that cause your both breasts no longer match. Custom made overlay or partial prosthesis can provide symmetrical appearance. They are worn comfortably over existing breast tissue and are an ideal solution for post lumpectomy |
