Compression Garments
30 - 40% breast cancer patients develop lymphedema. Lymphedema is an abnormal
accumulation of protein-rich fluid, caused by injury to lymph vessels and removal or damage
of lymph nodes during surgery, chemotherapy or radiation. Compression therapy helps to
keep lymphedema under control. In majority cases, ready to wear garment can be used.
If the measurements of your affected  extremities are outside of the ready-to-wear
tables, we will custom made them for you. Bellow are samples of custom made upper and
  lower extremities.

Compression garments with silver

The Romans were the first to recognize the "magical power of silver". Centuries later, we
still use it. Silver is safe and natural  inhibitor of microbes causing infections and odor often
accompanied Lymphedema. In addition, silver improve circulation, dissipate heat away from   the
body, and wicks moisture. These added features keep the garment drier and more    comfortable.
Below are samples of custom made garments with silver

NEW - lymphatic exercises

Unlike the circulatory system which has a pump (the heart) to move it's contents, the lymphatic's
move by inertia/ moves very slowly. Because a large portion of the lymphatic system lays just
beneath the skin above the muscles, thus by increasing muscular activity more  fluid is moved.
However, because all movements in the lymphatic system are gentle and smooth against
resistance, all muscular activities has to be slow, smooth, and rhythmic (pump & release).
If you are interested in participating in this  exercise program, please call for details
(ask for Kathy or Maria).
